2018-1/6-1/16 Fresh Water Tank

The Fresh Water tank arrived in the mail. It was ordered from the same place as the Grey Water tank, and had the same dimensions. But, the fittings were different. I debated what material to use to attach to the fittings, and ultimately decided on Brass. For these threaded connections, there doesn’t seem to be much info about what materials mesh the best. I couldn’t find any decent plastic ones, and I figured these brass ones would last forever. So, I installed the fittings and tried them out.

Schematic of my Fresh Water Plan.
On the left, we have the Fresh water pressurized water fill. The big one in the middle is the gravity water fill. The one on the right is the air vent to help with equalizing the pressure in the tank as the volume of water changes.
From this angle, you can see the drain hole in the bottom right corner of the tank.
On the opposite side, you can see the water outlet where I will be connecting my pump line.
Here’s the tank, ready to go in.
All of the plumbing for the fresh tank comes up into and through the cab just under the sink. Once everything was in place, I spray-foamed the gaps to prevent drafts around the openings, and to protect the pipes from rubbing.
Tightening all the hardware after the install is done. Again, this was the same install method as the Grey Water tank.
All done on the exterior.
This is the PEX that I used for the plumbing. I will be using more for running fresh water lines throughout the bus.
